Just 15 minutes from Port Albert. The recreation facility in Goderich hosts a number of activities. Fitness classes, basketball court, ice skating, public and family swimming. Interactive Evening Jail Tours. The Behind the Bars program is returning in the summer evenings. Visitors will meet volunteers portraying real prisoners and staff from the gaol’s past, as they make their way through this National Historic Site for an interactive evening tour. Experience the true stories of the Huron Historic Gaol (Jail), as told by the prisoners and staff that lived, worked, and died there between the years of 1841 and 1913. Meet some of the lunatics, thieves and vagrants that occupied the cells at 181 Victoria St. N, and ask them about their time behind the bars.

Point Clark Lighthouse National Historic Site of Canada
Just 15 minutes from Port Albert. Take a light house tour and visit the museum. The 87-foot limestone tower topped by a 12-sided lantern framed in cast iron is typical of the six "Imperial" towers built in the region, a lighthouse style rarely seen elsewhere in Canada. The lightkeeper's house is now a museum.
